Sperm assessment testing for in-life or post-mortem
Sperm analysis can be performed using both computer-assisted analysis of sperm motility analysis and cauda epididymal and testes concentration (using the latest IVOS-CASA) and microscopic examination of fixed sperm morphology. Sperm assessments may be included in a variety of study designs, but it is most often performed in fertility and multigenerational studies where it aids in the detection of possible effects on sperm production, release, maturation, function and ultimately fertility in the sexually mature animals.
