Telemetry: Implanted cardiovascular (large model, tox add-on)
Implanted cardiovascular telemetry is designed for chronic physiologic monitoring in colony animals. Key cardiovascular (CV) parameters monitored include systemic blood pressure, ECG and left ventricular pressure. The implant is inserted via surgical procedure along with the catheters/leads for CV measurements, allowing monitoring via one receiver throughout preclinical studies. Large animal implants are intended for animals typically >1 kg such as a canine, minipig or nonhuman primate (NHP) models. Transmission range, data memory and remote programming controls all vary, depending on the implant technology.
