The OECD 309: Aerobic Mineralisation in Surface Water is simulation biodegradation test that measures the mineralization and biodegradation of low concentrations of a substance in aerobic natural water. Tests are performed in batches simulating both suspended solids and suspended sediment for up to 60 days, and are assessed for degradation at regular time intervals. pH and oxygen concentration is also assessed.
