Mean platelet volume (MPV) analysis
This is an automated, non-standard assay for nonclinical or clinical research studies.
The mean platelet volume (MPV) is one of the tests performed during a complete blood count (CBC) test. MPV is a measurement of the dimension of platelets, calculated by hematological analyzers, based on volume distribution. MPV is inversely proportional to the platelet count in physiological conditions and can be disturbed by many diseases.
