Pellet implant (subcutaneous) procedure

A subcutaneous (sc) implant, or sc pellet, is an implant that is delivered into the subcutaneous tissue by surgery or injection. It is used for sustained drug delivery. Examples of drugs that can be administered in this way include leuprorelin and the sex steroids estradiol and testosterone.
