Oligonucleotide quantitation
The quantitative analysis of molecules in a therapeutic “class” generally referred to as oligonucleotides (oligos, OGNs), but also referring to molecules such a small interfering-RNA (siRNA), micro-RNA (miRNA), aptamers, translation/ transcription blockers, etc.
As oligonucleotide-based drugs gain popularity, analysis of oligonucleotides has become an important element of drug development. Through UV spectroscopy-based quantitative analysis, one can characterize and catalog oligonucleotides and other molecules as well as identify impurities and other safety concerns.
